At the height of the Great Depression, Kartan Mailender establishes Mailender-Barnett in Cincinnati, OH as a full service broker/distributor of equipment and supplies to the dairy processing industry in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. |
Mailender-Barnett begins doing business with Lindner Brothers Ice Cream – now United Dairy Farmers, a dairy processor and convenience store chain owned by the Lindner family. This special relationship continues to the present day. |

Mailender-Barnett continues to expand in dairy supplies with the hiring of Ed Gubin and Robert Berg. The company grows throughout the region now selling dairy processors in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Indiana. Robert has a fabulous career with the company for over 63 years until his death in 2012. |
Kartan Mailender buys out the Barnetts’ interest in Mailender-Barnett consolidating full ownership of the company. |

After 33 years in Downtown Cincinnati, Mailender-Barnett moves to a much larger facility in the suburb of Golf Manor. |
Ken Mailender, founder’s son, joins the company after service in the US Air Force and several years in brand management at Procter & Gamble. |

Mailender-Barnett becomes a member of Network Associates in Chicago, IL. Network Associates is a member owned integrated solution company in the paper and janitorial supply business that would help Mailender to improve supply chain efficiencies and service national accounts. |
Mailender-Barnett becomes a select distributor for Scott Paper Co., a major force in the office building supply business and together they grow to become the dominant supplier to office buildings in the area.

Mailender-Barnett continues to become a market force in Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky in both food service and paper products. Ellen Scully and Frank Fowler join the company in sales, establishing significant business in the office building market. |

Andrew Abel, founder’s grandson, joins Mailender-Barnett after several years at Lehman Brothers in New York. |

Chris Ward joins the company in information technology. Ward would go on to become Director of IT, CFO and now serves as the EVP/COO of the Company. |
Bruce Baker joins the Company as Packaging Group Manager, bringing a wealth of expertise in the industrial packaging industry. At the time, the segment accounts for less than 10% of the company’s sales. |

After 31 years in Golf Manor, OH, Mailender-Barnett moves into a new state-of-the-art distribution center in West Chester Township, Ohio. The new facility results in tremendous operational efficiencies with enough land to triple square footage as continued growth dictates. |
The Company experiences annual double digit growth and drops the Barnett from the name in 2006, becoming Mailender, Inc.

Mailender acquires Triduro Supply Co., a wholesale janitorial supply company in Washington Court House, OH. The acquisition expands the company’s range of products and services in this strategic market. |
